About Andréa
Hello, my name is Andréa and I play many roles in my personal life, but the most important role I play is a mother. I got started on this path way back in 6th grade when I attended a psychodrama group therapy session with a family member and thought "This is what I want to do with my life!" My dream changed a bit through the years, but I never stopped wanting to be a helping professional working with teens, adults, and families.
Since earning my Bachelor's degree from UNM in Psychology, I then earned my
Master's Degree in Social Work, and I have also completed my Trauma Specialist Certification training and use EMDR techniques regularly with my clients.
I try hard to help my clients learn to help themselves. My goal is to help you gain peace from your past, break patterns that are disrupting your life, help you build self-trust and self-love, learn how to help yourself, and then when appropriate to discharge successfully off my schedule. This does happen pretty regularly, and I always tell clients they can come back for touch up sessions or if life presents new stressors in the future.
